I luckily found this car left, but not forgotten in a garage for forty-three years.

The car is a 1964 Opel Olympia Rekord R3. It was running until January 1975, when the owner set it “temporarily” SORN.

He was checking and lubricating the engine, gearbox, undercarriage and brake system yearly till he passed away in 2003.

The car even got five new tires in the early 90’s. (Yes, spare tire as well.)

This will be a great and easy project for next year. When finished, it will be a true tribute to it’s previous owner who obviously loved this car.
